How to Find the IMEI Number of Your iPhone

These are instructions to find your iPhone's IMEI number using several different methods.

ABOUT MENU:

Step One

Tap to open Settings from your Springboard.

Step Two

Press to select General from the Settings menu.

Step Three

Choose About from the General menu.

Step Four

Scroll down to find your IMEI number displayed.

DIAL:

Step One

Tap to open Phone from your Springboard.

Step Two

Press to select Keypad from the tabs at the bottom of the screen then input *#06#.

Step Three

Your IMEI number will be displayed on the screen.

BACK ENGRAVING:

Your IMEI is engraved on the back case of the original iPhone and the iPhone 5, near the bottom. The MEID number uses the first 14 digits, disregarding the last digit.

SIM CARD TRAY:

The serial number and IMEI will be printed on the SIM tray of the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (GSM model), and iPhone 4S, as shown below.

When an iPhone 4S is activated on a CDMA carrier, the SIM tray displays both the MEID and the IMEI number as 15 digits. The MEID number uses the first 14 digits, disregarding the last digit, and the IMEI number uses all 15 digits.

How to Sync Google Contacts to iOS Using CardDAV

These are instructions on how to sync your Google Contacts to iOS using CardDAV.

Step One

Tap to open the Settings application on your device.

Step Two

Choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars from the Settings menu.

Step Three

Select Add Account... from the Mail, Contacts, Calendars menu.

Step Four

Tap to choose Other from the Add Account page.

Step Five

Press to select the Add CardDAV Account option.

Step Six

Fill out the form with the following information and tap Next to continue.

- Server: Enter "google.com"

- User Name: Enter your full Google Account or Google Apps email address.

- Password: Your Google Account or Google Apps password. (If you’ve enabled 2 Step verification, you’ll need to generate and enter an application specific password.)

- Description: Enter a description of the account (e.g. Google Contacts).

Step Seven

Once your account has been authenticated you can open the Contacts app and syncing will automatically begin.

How to Sync Multiple iTunes Libraries to Your iPhone Using MultiTunes

These are instructions on how to sync multiple iTunes Libraries to your iPhone or iPod touch.

To follow this tutorial you will need to jailbreak your device.

Step One
Launch Cydia from your SpringBoard.


Step Two
Tap to select Sections from the tabs across the bottom of the screen.


Step Three
Select Utilities from the list of sections displayed.


Step Four
Choose MultiTunes from the list of packages.


Step Five
Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.


Step Six
Press the Confirm button to begin installation.


Step Seven
Once the installation has completed successfully press the large Return to Cydia button.


Step Eight
Press the Home button to return to your SpringBoard and launch MultiTunes.


Step Nine
Press the + button at the top right of the screen.


Step Ten
Enter a name for a second library to be synced to your iOS device and press the Done button.


Step Eleven
Select the library you just created from the list and then connect your device to iTunes and sync with the new library.

***Important: This app does NOT sync apps with multiple libraries, so be sure to only sync apps with your default library. Before downloading content from the iTunes app, make sure your default library is selected in this app. Otherwise, your content may not download properly.


Step Twelve
You can now open at MultiTunes at any time to switch libraries.

How to Make Siri Speak Selected Text on Your iPhone 4S

These are instructions on how to make Siri speak selected text on your iPhone 4S.

Step One
Press to select Settings from your Springboard.


Step Two
Press to choose General from the Settings menu.


Step Three
Select Accessibility from the Settings menu.


Step Four
Tap Speak Selection from the Accessibility menu.


Step Five
Make sure the Speak Selection switch is turned ON. You can also adjust Siri's speaking rate using the slider.


Step Six
Press the Home button to return to your Springboard and launch an app such as Safari.


Step Seven
Use your finger to select and portion of text then click the Speak button the pops up to read it aloud. You can press the Pause button to stop reading.
